The almost 1st "first-time" Baja California Adventure
We had a great plan for the 1st "first-time" Baja Adventure! 200 miles of a north-south traverse with no documented roads. Endless nights of pouring over Google Earth images, to see whether a drive would be possible. It looked possible - with a number of question marks.
So we went for a scouting trip. Expecting this to be the first of several scouting trips. Expecting many on foot searches for the right path. Expecting shoveling dirt and winching trucks over cliffs.
It turned out to be easy. Too easy. We did not get lost. No on foot scouting. No hard ground work. Stunning new scenery though. So, we will do this traverse later this year. We recommend this track to anyone brave enough to leave the known roads behind.
