oDay 2 - Sunday

San Felipe - Bahia San Luis Gonzaga (90 miles)

After getting gas we'll head farther south. The first 40 miles are on (sort of) asphalt - but then at Puertecitos the civilized world ends abruptly. We will have to follow a bumpy dirt road only reimbursed by stunning vistas of the Sea of Cortez.

You will have to keep a good distance from the vehicle in front of you - otherwise all you'll see is dust.

It usually takes Mexican work crews several month after a rainstorm until they finally start fixing it. In case we encounter one of those spots we'll have to find a way around it.

Our final destination for the day is Bahia San Luis Gonzaga, one of the most beautiful beaches in Baja California. We'll stay at Alfonsina's "resort" - simple rooms with a priceless view. And no, they don't even take VISA. Delicious dinner right at the beach.
